Artist History
Rossana Parker: Born in Santiago Chile, studied at Santiago College and Fine Arts in The Universidad de Chile in Santiago.
Rossana move to England in the early 80’s were she continue her Art studies at South Cheshire College. In 2002 she graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a B.A. Honours in Contemporary Crafts. A Post Grade Certificate in Education Follow this Degree. Rossana was a lecturer of Art and Design at South Cheshire College for a decade still maintaining her private practice in her studio in Congleton Cheshire as a member of the Vale Artist studios. Now she dedicates most ofher time expirimenting with new materials, techniques and processes to developher work and in organising and running workshops.

Rossana Parker
Rossana's work comprises of ceramic and textile pieces for domestic and public spaces, these are inspired by natural forms and traditional iconography of the Americas.
With the increased interest in historical and global tradition, Rossana views her work as an opportunity to explore her South American heritage, by using traditional techniques in contemporary forms, Rossana's aim is to create interest and awareness in the origin and the historical background of each piece.
